◇Spoilers below

"To You, Shining" is the 63rd Taiga drama. Set in the aristocratic society of the mid-Heian period, the protagonist is Murasaki Shikibu (Mahiro), who later wrote "The Tale of Genji," said to be the world's oldest novel written by a woman. The script was written by Oishi Shizuka, who is writing a Taiga drama for the second time since "Koumyou ga Tsuji" in 2006, and depicts the glittering world of Heian aristocrats and the life of a woman who lived, wrote, and loved with all her heart.

In episode 37, Empress Shoshi (Migami Ai) gives birth to a son for Emperor Ichijo (Shiono Akihisa), and Mahiro (Yoshitaka) and Michinaga (Emoto Tasuku) share their joy.

As rumors of their closeness spread, Shoshi says she wants to compile a booklet of the story Mahiro has written as a gift for the emperor. So Mahiro and the ladies-in-waiting join forces to create a luxurious book.

Meanwhile, the birth of a new prince throws off the plans of Ise (Miura Shohei) and others, creating an uneasy atmosphere surrounding the imperial succession, and an incident occurs in the Imperial Palace... and so the story unfolds.
