The drama series "Smearing Mud on Your Face" (TV Asahi, Saturday 11:30 pm), starring model and actor Takahashi Hikaru, will air its final episode (episode 9) on September 21st. It will be a 30-minute extended special, airing from 11:30 pm to midnight.
In the previous episode, episode 8, Haru (Nishigaki Takumi) takes the outrageous step of using Miku's mother Michiko (Okunuki Kaoru) to pressure them into getting back together, in order to get Miku (Takahashi) back after she has left him. Eve (Kimura Keito), who confronts Haru, is made to face his own powerlessness, and although he cares about Miku, he is powerless to do anything... This is how it unfolds.
In the final episode, Michiko, who completely trusts Haru, aggressively pressures them to get back together, pushing Miku into a corner even further. Meanwhile, Haru contacts her and says she wants to see her, but Miku decides to entrust the negotiations with lawyer Onitake (Takano Akira). There, Haru receives a shocking confession from Onitake that she never expected.
Mikuru decides to tell her family everything, who don't know the truth about what happened between her and Haru. She then heads to a final showdown with Haru to tell them how she really feels. Meanwhile, since her confrontation with Haru, Eve has been painfully aware of her powerlessness as a student and has completely lost confidence in herself for not being able to do anything. Then, after hearing something from Mikuru's younger brother Sota (Kubozuka Airu), she runs to Mikuru.
What will be the answer that Mikuru, who has changed her life and turned her face forward with the power of makeup, will come up with...?
The drama is a live-action adaptation of the manga of the same name (Core Mix) by Yoshikazu. The story follows Mikuru, who has low self-esteem, as she starts to move forward in life with a positive attitude after getting makeup done by Eve, a college student who loves beauty, and takes back her life.
