TV Tokyo's popular information variety show "Appear! Ad Town Heaven" (Saturday 9pm) will feature Jiyugaoka in Tokyo on the September 21st broadcast. The guests are actor Umezawa Tomio and former "singing sister" singer Haida Shoko.

Every autumn, the Goddess Festival is held in honor of the "Blue Sky Statue" (commonly known as the "Goddess Statue") located in the station square in front of Jiyugaoka Station (Meguro Ward), which is on the Tokyu Toyoko Line and Oimachi Line. This year marks the 50th anniversary and will be held on October 13th and 14th. Jiyugaoka has a fashionable image, but there is also a sophisticated atmosphere.

The program will introduce the specialties of the "deep" town, such as Harmonica Nitsuke, a Japanese restaurant frequented by professional chefs, Sansenmen, a famous restaurant run by the 95-year-old wife of the founder, a delicatessen run by a "fishing expert" in a Showa Heritage building, an Italian restaurant popular for its pizza and dorobuta, and Drinkers' Alley behind the station.

Also featured will be a popular bistro frequented by pastry chefs and a new soft serve ice cream created by a long-established Mont Blanc shop. Guest Umezawa says he doesn't like onions, but the program will also introduce the Negitan Shio Yakiniku restaurant that he frequents.
