On September 18th, Tsuyoshi Domoto of the popular duo KinKi Kids attended a completion announcement event for his starring movie "Maru" (directed by Ogigami Naoko), which will be released on October 18th, held in Tokyo. He talked about his interactions with his co-star Ayano Go on the set.

The two, whose names both have the kanji for "Go", call each other "Tsuyoshi-san" and "Aya-chan". Domoto confessed, "I thought about it a lot, because I thought he probably hasn't been called that for a long time, and that he might never call me that in the future, so I started calling him 'Aya-chan'."

Ayano smiled and said about being called "Aya-chan", "I guess it's only the older staff members who call me 'Aya-chan' sometimes. So it made me really happy, and it makes me feel warm inside."

They also rushed to each other's wrap-ups, and Domoto reflected on his own wrap-up, saying, "After watching a beautiful sunset, I heard someone say, 'This is more than enough filming,' and then I heard a voice from afar saying, 'Go-san,' and then Aya-chan came running over. It was a touching scene. The view was so beautiful that I wanted to shoot that scene."

Ayano appeared with a bouquet of flowers and presented him with a chocolate cake. Domoto thanked him, saying, "It was delicious. Thank you very much," to which Ayano replied shyly, "It was Valentine's Day, after all."

Kobayashi Satomi, Yoshioka Riho, Morisaki Win, and director Ogigami Naoko also appeared at the event.

The movie is about Sawada (Domoto), who works as an assistant to a popular art artist. One day, Sawada loses his job after injuring his arm in an accident, and when he returns to his room he finds an ant on the floor. The ant leads him to draw a circle, and from there, the circle begins to take over his everyday life... This is the bizarre story. For Domoto, this will be his first lead role in a film in 27 years since the 1997 film "The Kindaichi Case Files: Shanghai Mermaid Legend."
