It has been revealed that the box office revenue of the latest movie version of "My Hero Academia THE MOVIE: Your Next" (directed by Okamura Tensai), based on the anime "My Hero Academia" based on the manga by Horikoshi Kohei serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (Shueisha), has exceeded 3.1 billion yen. The movie has been a huge hit, attracting more than 2.18 million viewers.

The latest movie version is set in the same timeline as the 7th season of the TV anime, and a major incident that will shake the world unfolds just before the final battle between Deku and the other heroes and the villains. Miyake Kenta, who plays the hero All Might, plays the dual role of Dark Might, the villain who looks just like All Might. Guest voice actors include Ikumi Meru and Miyano Mamoru. The movie was released on August 2nd.

"My Hero Academia" began serialization in "Weekly Shonen Jump" in July 2014. The final episode was published in the combined 36th and 37th issue of the magazine, released on August 5th, bringing the series to a close after 10 years of serialization. Set in a world where about 80% of the population has supernatural powers and quirks, the story follows Deku, also known as Midoriya Izuku, as he strives to become the greatest hero. The comic has sold over 100 million copies worldwide. The seventh season of the TV anime is currently airing on Yomiuri TV and Nippon TV every Saturday at 5:30 pm.
