Oshima commented, "Yui is holding out the rice ball, and there is a lot of meaning in this one rice ball. I created it with the hope that it would bring a little warmth, like the small heart in the center, to help people start their mornings with a gentle feeling."
"Omusubi" is a "Heisei youth graffiti" in which the heroine, Yoneda Yui, born in 1989, connects people's hearts and futures as a nutritionist, with the "gal spirit" of valuing her individuality at all times. The original work is by Nemoto Nonji, a screenwriter known for NHK's drama "Honest Real Estate," among others.
