Jujutsu Kaisen：The third stage production is "Jujutsu Kaisen 0" - Yuki Ogoshi will play Yuta Okkotsu, and there will also be a live band performance for the first time

It has been announced that the third stage play, "Stage Play 'Jujutsu Kaisen 0' WITH LIVE BAND," based on Akutami Gege's manga "Jujutsu Kaisen," currently serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (Shueisha), will be produced and performed in Tokyo in December and Osaka in January 2025. "Jujutsu Kaisen 0 Tokyo Metropolitan Curse Technical School," a prequel to "Jujutsu Kaisen," will be adapted for the stage and will be performed with a live band for the first time in the stage series. It was also announced that actor Ogoshi Yuki will play the main character, Okkotsu Yuta. Fujita Rei, who has played Geto Suguru since the premiere, will continue to play the role. A teaser visual of Okkotsu and Geto facing off against each other was also released.

"Jujutsu Kaisen" has been serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" since 2018. The story is about a high school student, Yuji Itadori, who is thrown into a world of battles over curses after a powerful "cursed object" is unsealed. The original manga will reach its final chapter in issue 44 of the magazine, which will be released on September 30th, bringing the series to an end after about six and a half years. The total number of copies of the series, including the digital version of the comics, has exceeded 90 million.

The first season of the TV anime aired from October 2020 to March 2021, and the second season aired from July to December 2023. The movie version of "Jujutsu Kaisen 0: The Movie," a prequel to the first season, was released in December 2021 and was a huge hit, grossing approximately 13.75 billion yen in Japan and approximately 26.5 billion yen worldwide. There is also talk of a sequel to the second season, "Death Becomes a Curse," being produced.

The second season's compilation, "Kaitama and Tamaori," will be released in theaters in 2025.
