It has been revealed that Shintaro Asanuma, known for his wide range of activities including scriptwriting and voice acting, will appear in the new special effects drama "Kamen Rider Gab" (TV Asahi, Sunday 9:00 a.m.) of the "Kamen Rider" series. Asanuma was the narrator for the special program "Start-Up!! Kamen Rider Gab" just before the broadcast, but will also appear as an actor from the third episode.

"Kamen Rider Gab" is the sixth Reiwa Rider series following "Kamen Rider Zero-One". The motif is sweets, and Shoma, a young man who loves sweets and comes from another world, transforms into Kamen Rider Gab and fights against the monster Granute, who tries to kidnap happy people with the power of sweets. The script is written by Junko Komura, known for "Kamen Rider Wizard" (2012-13) and "Kikai Sentai Zenkaiger" (2021-22).

Asanuma will play the role of Kenzo Sanga, a "mysterious Granute researcher." Details of his role will be revealed in the future, and Asanuma commented while looking back on the characters he has voiced so far, "After playing the 'samba-loving monster' (Sambaba from Doubutsu Sentai Zyuohger), 'Red who fights with a bomb on his waist' (Juran from Kikai Sentai Zenkaiger), and 'the dragon inside the card' (Dragonaros from Kamen Rider Gatchard), this time I'm playing a quirky researcher. With each filming session, I learn so much from young talent, and I feel happy to be able to live in this world." He also called for his support, saying, "I will do my best to make this production an unforgettable experience for everyone, so I would appreciate your support."
