It has been announced that the popular novel game series "9-nine-" (Palette) will be turned into a TV anime in 2025. The title will be "9-nine- Ruler's Crown," and the voice actors from the game, including Abe Atsushi as Shinkai Sho, Fukuen Misato as Kujo Miyako, Tanezaki Atsumi as Shinkai Ten, Yamaoka Yuri as Kosaka Harukaze, and Fujita Akane as Yuki Kia, will reprise their roles. "9-nine-" was released for PC in 2017, and the software was released for PS4 and Nintendo Switch in 2022. Set in the school town of Shiramitsuga, the story follows the protagonist Shinkai Sho and the boys and girls who awaken to their supernatural powers. The anime will be directed by Ohata Koichi, with character design by Sakiguchi Saori. It will be produced by P.R.A. It was also announced that a spin-off adventure game of the game "9-nine-" will be produced and released in winter 2025. Voice actress Aoi Yuki will play the new heroine in the game.
