A talk show for the latest "Kamen Rider" series, "Kamen Rider Gav" (TV Asahi, Sundays at 9am), which starts on September 1st, was held at Marunouchi TOEI (Chuo Ward, Tokyo) on August 25th, with main cast members including Chinen Hidekazu, who plays Kamen Rider Gav/Shoma, and Hino Yusuke, who plays Kamen Rider Varen/Karakida Hanto, in attendance.
The two will play the main character, Kamen Rider, and the second rider. Chinen said with a smile, "I met Hino Yusuke at the audition stage, and I thought that if I was given the lead role, I would be happy to appear with him! I felt a sympathy for him from the beginning, so when I met him at the costume fitting (after passing the audition), I thought it was fate."
Meanwhile, Hino said with a smile, "(Chinen) led the way (on set) as the lead actor and was proactive in communicating with us. As we filmed more and more scenes, we gradually became closer, just like Shoma and Kizunato."
Chinen responded, "We're close enough that we can go out to eat after filming is over and talk about acting, so I'm glad Hino played Kizunato!"
