Actors Kasumi Arimura and Nanase Nishino appeared at the "au New iPhone Launch Event" held in Tokyo on September 19th.
In reference to the newly released "iPhone 17," when asked about her memories from when she was 17, Arimura recalled, "That was the age when I joined the agency. I took an audition, passed, and it was the moment when everything changed."
She continued, "At 17, you have to decide on your future career path. I was thinking that if this audition didn't work out, I would go to university. In the fall of November, I traveled from Tokyo to meet my manager at a cafe in front of my local station. He said, 'Well, I'm looking forward to working with you,' and I was kind of taken aback (laughs). I'll never forget that day."
KDDI has expanded its satellite data service "au Starlionk Direct," a direct communication service between satellites and smartphones that allows communication even in areas without coverage as long as the sky is visible, to the iPhone. Compatible apps such as maps and weather apps can now be used even when out of coverage.
