A special trailer for the film "Minato no Hikari" (directed by Michihito Fujii , scheduled for release on November 14th), starring actor Hiroshi Tachi , was released on October 2nd. The trailer features the original song "Tear-away Picture Like a Throw-Away," written specifically for the film by Pistol Takehara.
This is the latest work from director Fujii, winner of the Best Director Award at the 48th Japan Academy Awards for his work on films such as "Ten Years Left to Live" and "The Family." It depicts the friendship and reunion that transcends the age gap between a former yakuza who has abandoned his past and a blind boy over the course of several decades. Tate plays the protagonist, former yakuza "Uncle" Miura, while Onoe Masahide plays the blind boy Kota, and Maeda Go Atsumu plays the grown-up young man Kota.
Also appearing in the film will be Yuina Kuroshima, Takumi Saito, Pierre Taki, Wataru Ichinose, Megumi, Masachika Ichimura, Ryudo Uzaki, Takashi Sasano, and Kippei Shiina.
