The official trailer with narration for the animated film "AS ONE" (directed by Shizuno Kobun, scheduled for release on August 22nd), in which Ruki Shiroiwa of the global boy band "JO1" voices the main character You, was released on July 31st. This is Shiraiwa's first attempt at voice acting.
The film is based on the arcade game " Starwing Paradox " (Square Enix), for which Yoshiyuki Sadamoto , known for the anime " Evangelion " series, was in charge of character design. Directed by Shizuno, known for " Detective Conan : Crimson Love Letter," the film will tell a completely original story set 20 years before the events of the original. Sadamoto will be in charge of character design, and all characters will be completely new. It depicts the fate of two people who should never have met: Yoh, a high school student living on Earth, and Lako, a girl who lives on a planet called Junpei, far away in space. Shiraiwa will play the protagonist Yoh, and Shiraishi Haruka will play Lako. Voice actors include Shunsuke Takeuchi, Yoko Hikasa, and Ryuhei Maruyama of the popular group "SUPER EIGHT."
The theme song is "Junsei," written by Shiraiwa under the name "RUKI."
