[Video]Kanichi Kurita: "Throw it instead of Otani" - Reminiscing on the feelings of "taking over Lupin the Third" 30 years ago at the Japan premiere of "LUPIN THE IIIRD THE MOVIE: The Immortal Bloodline"

The Japan premiere of the completely new animated film "LUPIN THE IIIRD THE MOVIE: Immortal Bloodline" (released June 27th), based on the popular anime "Lupin the Third" based on the manga by the late Monkey Punch, was held in Tokyo on June 19th, with voice actors Kanichi Kurita, Akio Otsuka, Daisuke Namikawa, Miyuki Sawashiro Sawashiro, Koichi Yamadera, and Kataoka Ainosuke making an appearance.

The new film will be the first 2D animated film in about 30 years since Monkey Punch's first directorial work, "Lupin the Third: Dead or Alive" (1996), and will be directed by Koike, who has worked on the "LUPIN THE IIIRD" series. This new film will depict the "ultimate"Lupin the Third, which is the origin of the series.

Lupin the Third and his friends head to a mysterious island that does not exist on the world map in order to uncover the identity of the mastermind who has been sending assassins to them and the enormous treasure hidden there. It is an island of death filled with poison that will bring death within 24 hours and where "garbage men" who were once used as weapons and discarded roam. Lupin faces his immortal enemy Muom, the ruler of the island, in a battle of wits that puts his past, his pride, and his pride as a thief on the line... This is the story.
