It has been announced that the first cour of " Aoashi Season 2," the second season of the TV anime " Aoashi " based on the soccer manga by Yugo Kobayashi serialized in "Weekly Big Comic Spirits" (Shogakukan), will begin airing on NHK E Tele every Sunday at 5 PM starting October 4th. The second season will consist of 24 episodes in total, with the first cour, consisting of 12 episodes, starting on October 4th.
The main visual has been released, featuring the members of Tokyo City Esperion Youth's A team, including Ashito Aoi, Nagisa Akutsu, Haruhisa Kuribayashi, Yuma Motoki, Taira Nakamura, Yoichi Kiriki, Eita Takasugi, and Enshin Akiyama.
Regarding the second season, Koki Oozumi, who plays Ashito Aoi, said, "Soccer at a level even closer to 'professional'!!", Shunsuke Takeuchi, who plays Nagisa Akutsu, said, "Pay attention to the cool buzz cut!!", and Yuichiro Umehara, who plays Haruhisa Kuribayashi, said, "Suffering," each expressing the highlights in a single word.
The artists performing the theme songs have also been announced: the band "10-FEET" will be in charge of the opening theme (OP), and singer-songwriter Ai Higuchi will be in charge of the ending theme (ED).
"Aoashi" is a manga series about the youth leagues of the J.League. It depicts the growth of the protagonist, Ashito, who becomes a member of a prestigious youth team after a selection process. It was serialized in "Big Comic Spirits" from 2015 to 2025. The cumulative circulation of the manga volumes exceeds 25 million copies. The first season of the TV anime aired from April to September 2022.
