Actor Yoji Iwase appeared at an event held on June Getsuku at the former Hosokawa Duke's Residence (Bunkyo Ward, Tokyo) to commemorate the release of Amazon's Prime Video original drama series "Chloe Emma." Iwase has also been making headlines for ranking first in the "NEXT category" for those under 22 in the second half of 2025 in the "ViVi National Treasure-Class Handsome Men Ranking." In the drama, he plays Kenshiro Shimokado (Simon), the second-generation master of the Paris coffee shop and a master of making parfaits. When he ate a parfait that appeared in the show at the event and showed a big smile, the audience cheered, "So cute!"
The drama is based on the manga of the same name by Tsunami Umino, the cartoonist known for "The Full-Time Wife Escapist," and stars Hana Hana Sugisaki and Mikako Tabe in the lead roles. Emma (Sugisaki), a 30-year-old woman who has lost love, her job, and her home all at once, ends up at the mansion of Chloe (Tabe), a mysterious wealthy woman. The two women begin living together by chance and end up opening a fortune-telling shop. Using fortune-telling as a clue, they get closer to unraveling the unsolved mysteries hidden behind the words of their clients.
Iwase, who plays Simon, said that the lines describing the parfaits that Emma and Chloe eat as a reward in the film were difficult, and he reflected on the filming, saying, "I was really nervous. To be honest, I'll never forget how excited I was before the cameras started rolling."
Sugisaki, Tabe, and director Imaizumi Rikiya also appeared at the event. The drama will be exclusively streamed worldwide starting June 12th. It will consist of 5 episodes, with new episodes released every Friday.
