The eighth episode of the TBS Friday drama "Tagusari Brothers," starring actor Masaki Okada and also featuring Shota Sometani, aired on June 5th. Shota Sometani's performance as Minoru Tagusari in the final scene was praised by viewers.

For Makoto (Okada) and Minoru, who lost their parents, Mogi Koki (Yamanaka Takashi), the owner of the local Chinese restaurant "Mocchan," was like an older brother to whom they could confide their true feelings. However, a memo by Tsuda (Iio Kazuki), who was investigating the connection between Karashima Metal Factory and the Igarashi Group, revealed the possibility that Mogi was involved in the murder of their parents.
Makoto and Minoru invited Mogi to a public bathhouse to confirm whether his testimony that he was caught in the fire at the Karashima Metal Factory on the day his parents were murdered was true. As a result, it became highly likely that Mogi's testimony was false, but Makoto and Minoru did not press Mogi for the truth.
Meanwhile, a man's body was discovered, and coroner Minoru headed to the morgue. "The body is that of Koki Mogi, 61 years old," he was told, leaving Minoru speechless. With trembling hands, he removed his mask and, in a daze, uttered, "Mocchan...?"

The drama follows Detective Makoto and Medical Examiner Minoru as they investigate heinous crimes that occur daily and pursue the true culprit in the murder of their parents, a case that expired just two days before the statute of limitations was abolished. This is the latest work from producer Junko Arai, who has worked on hit crime suspense works such as the film "Last Mile" and the dramas "Unnatural," "MIU404," and "Saiai."
