Actress Fumino Kimura appeared at a press conference in Tokyo on June 4th to announce the completion of WOWOW's drama series "Consultant - The Man Who Writes About Death." This was her first public appearance since announcing the birth of her second child on May 24th. Kimura appeared in a black dress and spoke with a smile.
On May 24, Kimura announced on her Instagram that "My second child was born. We are spending lively, hectic, and precious days," and posted a photo of her first child's tiny hand holding a baby-themed item.
The event was attended by the film's stars, Kentaro Ito and GACKT, as well as main director Hideo Nakata.
The drama is a dark suspense series based on the novel "The Consultant" by Im Sung-soon. Izaki, an unremarkable man aspiring to be a mystery novelist, is dragged into a mysterious organization called "The Company" and transformed into an assassination consultant, writing "perfect assassination scenarios" that no one will notice. However, he gradually becomes entangled in an overwhelming evil and finds himself with no escape. This is WOWOW's first dramatization of a K-literature (Korean literature) work, and the directors are Nakata and Yoshinori Kobayashi, known for the "Unfair" series (Fuji TV). Kimura plays Saki Mizuhata, a beautiful manager dispatched by the mysterious organization "The Company" to monitor Izaki.
It will be broadcast and streamed on WOWOW Prime and WOWOW On Demand starting June 7th at 10 PM. It will consist of 6 episodes, with the first episode being free to watch and stream.
