Actor Ryo Yoshizawa won the Best Actor award at the 35th Japan Film Critics Awards and attended the awards ceremony held in Tokyo on June 1st.
Yoshizawa, who received the award for the film "National Treasure," said in his speech, "I am very happy to be standing here with Ryusei Yokohama and my friend Takumi Kitamura, two truly wonderful people. I will continue to work hard every day so that I can participate in works that will be loved by many people."
Regarding the fact that the film continues to be a topic of conversation even a year after its release on June 6, 2025, he smiled and said, "As the creators of this film, we hope that it will remain in the hearts of as many people as possible, but we never imagined that it would be loved by so many people... I myself can't believe that it's still being shown in theaters. I'm just so grateful to everyone who has loved it."
He continued, "No matter where I go, people talk about 'national treasures.' I've never had an experience like this before, so I think something amazing is happening."
