The main promotional video for the TV anime "Yani Neko," based on the manga by Nyannyan Factory currently serialized in "Young Magazine" (Kodansha), has been released on YouTube. It begins with the landlord humming, and cigarette butts discarded by Yani Neko rain down on the landlord's head as he cleans the apartment. Unique characters such as Yaku Neko, Hame Neko, Kansai Neko, and Aru Neko also make an appearance.
It was also announced that the band "Wasureranneyo" will be in charge of the opening theme "Nanmo Nee" and the band "Necry Talkie" will be in charge of the ending theme "Kemuri to Blue".
"Yani Neko" is a manga depicting the daily life of "the most worthless cat." It has been serialized in the magazine since April 2023. The anime is directed by Taku Kimura, with Takashi Aoshima writing the script, Riki Matsuura designing the characters, and Keiichi Suzuki composing the music. It is being produced by Bibury Animation Studios.
Yuko Natsuyoshi will play Yanineko, with Misato Matsuoka as Yakuneko, Yurie Funato as Hameneko, Ayaka Shimizu as Kansaineko, Shiori Izawa as Aruneko, Riko Akechi as Ochinpo Tatsuro, and Tetsu Inada as the landlord. It will air on TOKYO MX and BS11 every Thursday at 12:30 AM starting July 2nd.
