WOWOW, which exclusively broadcasts European football, including the UEFA Champions League (CL) and UEFA Europa League (EL), announced on May 27th the sale of its "CL/EL 2026-27 Season Pass," which allows viewers to enjoy football programs. In addition to the CL, EL, and UEFA Conference League (ECL), the new season will also allow viewers to watch the UEFA Women's Champions League (WCL) from the start.
The season pass is a pay-per-view (PPV) product that allows you to watch the "UEFA Super Cup 2025," which marks the start of the new European football season, as well as all Champions League and Europa League matches, notable matches from the European Champions League and World Champions League, the popular program "Champions League Digest!" which showcases all the goals from the Champions League, match highlights, and archives of past Champions League finals.
In addition, in June and July, before the start of the season, we will be updating content that soccer fans can enjoy, such as "Looking back at the 2025-26 season," "Players from top-ranked countries to keep an eye on now," and "A selection of memorable matches where Japanese players shone."
A "Early Bird Campaign" is being held for the purchase of season passes, with the price reduced to 17,500 yen during the campaign period from 0:00 AM on May 31st to 11:59 PM on July 31st. The regular price is 19,800 yen, and the sales period is from 12:00 PM on August 1st to 11:59 PM on October 31st. Both will be sold on WOWOW's special season pass website.
The season pass is valid until June 30, 2027.
