It has been announced that a theatrical anime film adaptation of the manga "Takopi's Original Sin" by Taizan 5, which was serialized on Shueisha's manga app "Shonen Jump+", will be released. The film, titled "Takopi's Original Sin -Thank You, See You Tomorrow-", will re-edit the six-episode anime and add new scenes. A special trailer has been released with the message, "To all of you who have encountered Takopi. Let's relive that story once more."

I'm so happy because I'll never forget the feeling of seeing the sound and the big screen at the advance theatrical screening of the first episode. I'll go see it again and again!! "Takopi's Original Sin" was serialized on "Shonen Jump+" from December 2021 to March 2022, and despite being a short series, it recorded the highest number of views among works serialized at the same time. The story follows Takopi, a Happy Alien who comes to Earth and meets Shizuka Kuze, a girl who never smiles, and uses magical Happy Tools to try and bring back Shizuka's smile. The series also gained attention for its depiction of the harsh realities of elementary school life, such as school and family problems, and despite being only two volumes long, it has become popular with over 1.8 million copies sold.
The anime was produced through a collaboration between TBS and ENISHIYA. All six episodes were streamed from June to August 2025. Although it was not broadcast on terrestrial television, it became a hot topic, trending on social media each time a new episode was released.
