The second season of the TV anime " Hana-Kimi, " based on the popular shojo manga by the late Hisaya Nakajo (which was also adapted into a live-action drama), will begin airing on TOKYO MX and other channels from July 1st. It was also announced that the band "Omoinotake" will be in charge of the opening theme (OP) "FLASHBULB" and the ending theme (ED) "Hanataba." A promotional video featuring the OP and ED has been released on YouTube.
Omoinotake commented, "We are truly delighted to have been involved in two songs for this work that is loved across generations and countries. We poured all the emotions we received from the work into each song, expressing the dazzling sparkle in 'FLASHBULB' and the hidden feelings of love in 'Hanataba'. We eagerly await the day when these songs reach you."
" Hana-Kimi" is a school comedy manga that was serialized in the manga magazine "Hana to Yume to Yume" (Hakusensha) from 1996 to 2004. The story follows Mizuki Ashiya , a girl who disguises herself as a boy and transfers to an all-boys boarding school in order to meet her crush, Izumi Sano . She manages to live her school life without revealing her true identity, but one day, her true gender is discovered. The manga was also adapted into a TV drama series in 2007 and 2011, which garnered much attention.
The first season of the TV anime aired from January to March.
