On May 22nd, Friday Road Show (Nippon Television Network, Fridays at 9 PM) will broadcast "Minions: The Rise of Gru" (2022, USA), featuring popular characters from Illumination, in its entirety.
In the 1970s, the Minions, under the command of 11-year-old Gru (played by Shofukutei Tsurube), whom they worshipped as their mini-boss, committed their daily misdeeds.
One day, young Gru is kidnapped by unknown assailants. Kevin, Stuart, and Bob, who are desperately trying to rescue their mini-boss, meet kung fu master Chow (Naomi Watanabe) through a certain incident and ask to become his apprentices. This marks the beginning of a arduous journey filled with numerous trials and tribulations.
Next week, on Friday, May 29th, Friday Road Show will broadcast three Disney films uncut: "Peter Pan" (1953, USA), "Frozen Fever" (2015, USA), and "Rapunzel's Wedding" (2011, USA).
