It has been announced that Shoya Chiba will be appearing as a voice actor in the TV anime "Ganbare! Nakamura-kun!!", which is based on Harunori's "classic BL comedy" manga. Chiba will play Arandou Tamura, a third-year student in the drama and film club at Hoshimi High School, who will make his first appearance in episode 7, "It's here! A school ghost story!?". A still from episode 7 has also been released.
"Go for it, Nakamura-kun!!" is a popular manga series that depicts the fantasies and reckless actions of Nakamura Otoko, a shy high school boy, as he experiences unrequited love for his classmate, Hirose Aiki, in a style reminiscent of the 1980s and 90s. The manga is published by Heroes.
The anime is directed by Aoi Umeki, who also handles the script and character design. Drive is producing it. Chiaki Kobayashi voices Okuto Nakamura, and Yuki Sakakibara voices Aki Hirose. It is currently airing on TOKYO MX and other channels.
