Fuka Koshiba stars in the third season of NHK's BS historical drama, "Akinaiseiden Kin to Gin 3" (NHK BS Premium 4K, Sundays at 6:45 PM). The subtitle for the sixth episode, airing on May 10th, is "The Kimono Business Returns," and the synopsis and still images have been released.

"Akinaiseiden Kin to Gin" is a series set in the mid-Edo period that vividly and cheerfully depicts the lives of ordinary people who succeed in business through hard work and ingenuity, interwoven with a variety of customs and traditions. Season 1 aired in 2023, and Season 2 aired in 2025.
Season 3 will once again feature Sachiko (played by Koshiba), the seventh-generation owner of Gosuzuya, a kimono and fabric store that opened in Tawaramachi, Asakusa, Edo. As Sachiko's struggle to protect Gosuzuya reaches its climax, she will also arrive at a realization of something irreplaceable.
In the sixth installment, the date is December 14, 1761 (Hōreki 11). Gosuzuya celebrated its 10th anniversary.
Six years after being ostracized from the kimono merchants' association, Maruya (played by Tanaka Yoji), a kimono shop owner from Komagata-cho, suddenly appears at a meeting of the Asakusa textile merchants' association. Forced to accept unreasonable price increases after a great fire, he has decided to switch from kimonos to textiles and has come to ask to be accepted back into the Asakusa association. Kawachiya (played by Nozoe Yoshihiro) objects, saying, "I would like Maruya to continue his kimono business." Then, fortunately, an unexpected proposal is made... and the story unfolds from there.
