The latest film in the "Star Wars" series, "The Mandalorian and Glogo" (directed by Jon Favreau), the first theatrical release in seven years, will be released simultaneously in Japan and the US on May 22nd. To commemorate the release, a collaboration cafe, "SHIBUYA TSUTAYA COLLABORATION CAFE inspired by Star Wars/The Mandalorian and Glogo," will open at SHIBUYA TSUTAYA (Shibuya Ward, Tokyo) on May 2nd.
This cafe has a calm, library-like atmosphere, and features a circular bar counter illuminated by green lighting reminiscent of Glogoo. It has approximately 85 seats. You can enjoy dishes such as the "Black Seafood Bisque Pasta" (1800 yen), which is said to represent the edge of the galaxy with squid ink, and the chocolate terrine dessert "Ingot Excavated in the Frontier" (1600 yen), which is designed to resemble an ingot. Other food items on the menu include "French Fries with Blue Sour Cream" (800 yen) with a blue sauce, and "Creature Chowder" (1800 yen), which has a visual appearance as if creatures are crawling out of it.
The drinks include "Unknown Blue Milk (Lychee & Peach & Yogurt)" (770 yen), "Unknown Green Milk (Pistachio & Mint)" (770 yen), "Galactic Cafe au Lait (Caramel & Butterscotch)" (770 yen), "Baby Soda (Plum & Soda)" (770 yen), "Volcano Strawberry Milk" (990 yen), and "Dessert Sands (Orange Calpis)" (990 yen).
In addition, the cafe will feature displays of giant visual panels and scene photos, a raffle for cafe customers to win non-saleable premium goods, and sales of new "Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Glogo" merchandise.
The "SHIBUYA TSUTAYA COLLABORATION CAFE inspired by Star Wars/The Mandalorian and Glogo" will be held at the same location from May 2nd to 31st (11:30 AM to 9:00 PM, last order at 8:30 PM, last entry at 8:00 PM). Admission tickets are 550 yen. Cafe use is limited to a maximum of one hour. Only same-day tickets are available, and each person must order at least one item to be entered into a premium raffle once after ordering. On the first floor of "SHIBUYA TSUTAYA," there is also an exhibition of popular "Star Wars" character statues.
