The music video for "Brave Trooper," the original song for the new TV anime "Samurai Troopers: The True Legend of the Armored Troopers," which is the official sequel to the "Samurai Troopers: The Armored Troopers" TV anime series that aired from April 1988 to March 1989, has been released. The song will be included in the "Samurai Troopers: The True Legend of the Armored Troopers" CHARACTER SONG ALBUM vol.1, which will be released on May 27th, and the video features powerful vocals from Gai, Uesugi Kaito, Hojo Musashi, Hojo Yamato, and Oda Ryusei, and visuals that link to the lyrics that express their determination to fight.
It was also announced that the second installment of the "Watch Together with Waka" screening event, which looks back on the first season, will be held on May 27th at Marunouchi Piccadilly (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo). Episodes 5-8 will be screened, and Hiroya Ishibashi, who plays Gai, and Kosuke Toriumi, who plays Saizo, will be in attendance.
"Yoroiden Samurai Troopers" is the first new anime in approximately 35 years since the OVA "Yoroiden Samurai Troopers MESSAGE" released in 1991, and the first TV anime series in approximately 37 years. It is a completely original story set in present-day Shinjuku, directed by Yoichi Fujita, known for "Gintama" and "Mr. Osomatsu," with series composition and script by Shogo Muto, known for "Kamen Rider Build," "Crows Zero," and "Thermae Romae." It will be broadcast in two parts, with the first part airing from January to March. The second part will air from July.
"Ronin Warriors" is an anime produced by Sunrise that depicts five boys who possess "Yoroi Gear" (armored suits) being brought together by fate to fight against the demonic army led by the demon emperor Arago. The TV anime aired from April 1988 to March 1989, and due to its popularity, OVAs were also produced. "Ronin Warriors Gaiden" was released in 1989, "Ronin Warriors: Legend of the Shining Emperor" from 1989 to 1990, and "Ronin Warriors: Message" in 1991. A manga adaptation by Ryuichi Hoshino was serialized in "Comic Bonbon" (Kodansha).
