An exhibition commemorating the 40th anniversary of the pilot anime adaptation of Izumi Matsumoto's manga "Kimagure Orange Road," titled "Kimagure Orange Road Pilot Anime 40th Anniversary Exhibition," will be held at Yurakucho Marui (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) from May 23rd.
The event, "Jump Special Anime Grand Parade," will showcase the pilot episode, which was first animated in 1985. In addition to color original drawings and rough sketches by Akemi Takada, who was in charge of the anime's character design, new illustrations will be exhibited for the first time. New merchandise featuring the new illustrations, original anime setting materials, and nostalgic illustrations will be available for purchase, and a signing session with Ms. Takada will also be held.
