A new commercial has been released for the movie "Agito - Superpower War -" (directed by Ryuta Tasaki), which will be released on April 29th as a commemorative work for the 55th anniversary of Kamen Rider's birth.
A 15-second clip titled "The True Value of the Soul" shows a glimpse of the story, accompanied by narration that reads, "In a world overrun by superpowers, one man without 'superpowers' confronts a threat to humanity."
The trailer also shows Makoto Hikawa (played by Jun Kaname) fighting while wearing the latest special reinforced armor suit "G7," and features a scene where a drone takes off from the suit as one of the G7's functions.
Furthermore, towards the end, the transformation sound effect for Shoichi Tsugami (Toshiki Kashu) transforming into Kamen Rider Agito is played. Shoichi has lost Agito's power, but what does this "transformation sound" signify...? The video is a mix of mystery and anticipation.
The film is the latest theatrical release of "Kamen Rider Agito," the second series in the Heisei Kamen Rider franchise. Kaname, who played Kamen Rider G3/Makoto Hikawa in "Agito," takes the lead role, and the original cast, including Kashu, who played Kamen Rider Agito/Shoichi Tsugami, reunites for the film. As with the TV series, director Tasaki is at the helm, and Toshiki Inoue is in charge of the screenplay. The story depicts the rampage of those with power and the resolve of those without, in a world where people are beginning to awaken to "superpowers" one after another.
It has also been announced that a special program about the film will be broadcast on TOKYO MX from 7:00 PM to 7:30 PM on April 25th, just before the film's release. Kaname, Kashu, and Yuchami will appear on the program and talk about their thoughts on the 55th anniversary of Kamen Rider and share valuable anecdotes from the filming. The MCs will be the comedy duo "Miyashita Kusanagi," who are known to be Kamen Rider fans.
