It has been announced that voice actors Kappei Yamaguchi and Junko Takeuchi will be voicing characters from the manga "Love Ben!", which Nakamura-kun loves to read, in the TV anime "Ganbare! Nakamura-kun!!", based on Harunori's "classic BL comedy" manga. Yamaguchi will play Makunouchi and Takeuchi will play Taku. Yamaguchi and Takeuchi have voiced Nakamura-kun and Hirose in the audio drama version of the same work, and it had been announced that they would be appearing in the anime, but the characters they will be playing have now been revealed. Makunouchi and Taku will appear from episode 2, which will air on April 8th.
This work is a popular series that depicts the fantasies and reckless behavior surrounding the unrequited love of shy high school student Nakamura Otokoto for his classmate Hirose Aiki, all in a style reminiscent of the 1980s and 90s. The comics are published by Heroes.
The anime is directed by Aoi Umeki, who also handles the script and character design. Drive is producing it. Chiaki Kobayashi voices Okuto Nakamura, and Yuki Sakakibara voices Aki Hirose. It is currently airing on TOKYO MX and other channels.
