It has been announced that announcer Momo Tahara will be joining TV Asahi's morning information program "Good! Morning" (Monday-Friday 4:55 AM, Saturday 6:00 AM, Sunday 5:50 AM, excluding some regions) starting March 30th. A fifth-year employee, she has previously worked as a presenter and field reporter for the evening program "Super J Channel" and as the MC for the quiz variety show "Cream Quiz Miracle 9". This will be her first time on a morning program, and she will serve as the MC from Monday to Wednesday, and as the center MC on Saturdays and Sundays.
Tahara, who was given the major promotion, expressed her determination, saying, "I was so happy because it's a program I've admired since before I joined the company. I've received so much energy from 'Good! Morning,' which is enveloped in a gentle and kind atmosphere, so I'll do my best to give back. I want to make use of the experience I've gained in news programs so far, and also share exciting and fun topics with everyone." She added enthusiastically, "I will deliver information that will be useful to everyone in a bright and careful manner!"
It was also announced that Anna Irie, a current graduate student at the University of Tokyo and a finalist in the Miss University of Tokyo 2025 pageant, will be joining as a new Caster. This will be Irie's first time working as a Caster.
Chiharu Saito, who will continue to be the program's MC, expressed her expectations for the two new members, saying, "When I met Caster Irie, she has a calm demeanor and voice that you wouldn't expect from a student, and she also has an intellectual image. I have the impression that she will bring a fresh new energy to 'Good! Morning'."
TV Asahi's Chief Producer, Fumihiro Takasaki, commented, "Anchor Caster's greatest appeal is her calm voice and refreshing demeanor, which are perfect for the morning. She will be in charge of the sports segment and will also be going out to various locations to cover stories. We are also welcoming announcer Tahara, who has honed her announcing skills on news programs, as the new face of the weekends. From Monday to Sunday this spring, 'Good! Morning' will deliver a sincere program to everyone every day!"
It was also announced that veteran announcer Ryota Sasaki, who is currently in charge of "Yoko Oshita Wide! Scramble," will be supporting the program by participating in the weekday and Sunday broadcasts. Additionally, Aya Fukuto, an announcer from ABC Television (Asahi Broadcasting Corporation), will be joining the Sunday team.
