The second teaser visual for "The New Prince of Tennis U-17 WORLD CUP Final Member Deciding Match," the sequel to the TV anime "The New Prince of Tennis U-17 WORLD CUP SEMIFINAL," which is based on Takeshi Konomi's popular tennis manga "The New Prince of Tennis," has been released. The sequel depicts the heated battle within the Japanese national team to decide the members who will participate in the final match against Spain, and the visual features Shiraishi Kuranosuke, Toyama Kintaro, Tanegashima Shuji, and Omegari Ryuji engaged in a fierce doubles battle.
"The New Prince of Tennis U-17 WORLD CUP" is the first TV series in approximately 10 years since "The New Prince of Tennis," which aired in 2012, and it was broadcast from July to September 2022. The "SEMIFINAL" was broadcast from October to December 2024, depicting the semi-final match between Japan and Germany. The "Final Member Selection Match" will be broadcast this fall.
"The Prince of Tennis" is a manga series that was serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (Shueisha) from 1999 to 2008. It depicts the story of Ryoma Echizen, a tennis prodigy, who rises to prominence in the Seishun Academy tennis club and grows through battles against rival schools. A new series, "The New Prince of Tennis," has been serialized in "Jump SQ." (Shueisha) since 2009.
