The popular novel "The Villainess's Voice Actor" (Ichijinsha), which originated on the Shosetsuka ni Naro ni Narou," will be adapted into a TV anime in 2027. The anime will depict a fierce and magnificent revenge drama by a "real" villainess, and it has also been announced that Miyuki Sawashiro will voice Remilia Rose Graupner, the villainess from a certain otome game, and Rie Takahashi will voice Emi, who has been reincarnated as her favorite character, Remilia.
This work is a light novel written by Makiburo and illustrated by Murasaki Mai. Emi, who is reincarnated as Remilia, the villainess of a certain otome game, struggles to make her happy as the "person inside," but is betrayed by those she trusts and condemned. At that moment, the real Remilia, who had been watching over her from within, appears to clear Emi's name, and a revenge drama by the "real" villainess begins. The manga adaptation by Shiroume Nazuna has also gained popularity, and the series has sold over 3 million copies in total.
The anime will be directed by Kaoru Iida, making his directorial debut, with character designs by Reiko Nagasawa, series composition and script by Hiroyuki Yoshino, and music by Shuji Katayama. It will be produced by ROLL2.
A teaser visual featuring Remilia holding a single red rose, and a teaser PV featuring the reincarnated Emi and the villainess Remilia have been released.
The original author, Makiburo, said, "The anime adaptation of 'The Villainess's Voice Actress' has been decided! We've come so far, waving our penlights together with all the readers...! I am truly grateful to all the readers who have supported us this far, and to everyone involved in bringing the work to life. I would be so happy if you could enjoy the anime with us when it airs. Everyone...! Let's watch it live together!!"
Miyuki Sawashiro, who will be voicing Remilia, said, "I am Miyuki Sawashiro, and I will be taking on the role of the 'person inside' Remilia. After reading the original work, I was deeply moved by her unparalleled motivation for living. I want to look upon her with the same love that Remilia has for Emilia. I would be very grateful if you would also support the 'person inside the villainess' with her voice. Thank you very much."
Takahashi, who plays Emi, commented, "I'm Rie Takahashi, and I'll be playing the role of the 'person inside' of Remilia-sama's voice actress. In this era where there's an understanding of 'reincarnating as a villainess,' I really hope you'll enjoy this work! I'm determined to put Emi's feelings into words, and I'm fully prepared to cheer on Remilia-sama in front of the screen! I hope you'll support the 'Person Inside the Villainess' anime from now on!"
Director Iida commented, "Thank you to everyone who is looking forward to 'The Villainess's Voice Actor.' We are working hard to deliver the charming characters and story with expressions that are unique to animation. Please look forward to it. We appreciate your continued support."
Yoshino, who is in charge of series composition and scriptwriting, said, "When I first encountered this work, I have to admit that I was a bit fed up with it, thinking, 'Another villainess story...' However, when I actually read it, my impression changed completely. I was amazed that there was still this way of doing things! I was drawn to the strength of Remilia's character, cheered at the exhilarating moments, trembled at the depth of her love for Emi, and before I knew it, I was completely engrossed in the work as a fan. Having become a complete servant of Lady Remilia, I have taken up my pen to make her story known to the world. I am not Viscount Lorraine, but I sincerely hope that this fascinating story will reach as many people as possible."
Character designer Nagasawa said, "I am truly honored to be involved in this work in this way, as I have been a devoted reader of the original manga since its early stages. Remilia's story in the comics has come to a close for now, but her活躍 in the anime awaits. I would be grateful if you would prepare your penlights and fans and continue to support us."
Katayama, who is in charge of the music, commented, "I picked up the comics and read them all in one go. I can't wait to see how this story, which has the tension of a suspense drama and the 'passion' of a battle manga, will be portrayed in the anime. I will do my best to deliver music that will make you want to cheer for Remilia-tan."
