The sixth episode of the Fuji TV Getsuku drama "Saba-can, Uchuu e Iku" (Mondays at 9pm), starring actor Takumi Kitamura , aired on May 18th, and it has been revealed that the average viewership rating (according to Video Research, Kanto region) was 3.3% for households and 2.0% for individuals.
The drama is an original coming-of-age story based on the true story of students at a fisheries high school in Fukui Prefecture who challenged themselves to achieve their big dream of "developing space food." Kitamura plays the protagonist, a rookie high school teacher.
Episode 6 was titled "Development Cancelled! Dreams Shattered, Friendships Broken. What Will the Teacher Do?"
The school, shaken by the issues of closure and the effects of the earthquake, has to cancel its space food development project. A male student who enrolled in the school hoping to participate in the development is heartbroken, but his best friend refuses to give up. What will Mr. Asano (played by Kitamura) do at that time? And what about the school closure issue...?
