The third series of NHK's popular comedy drama "The Incidents Happen Around Us," starring actress Fuka Koshiba, will be broadcast for four consecutive nights starting Getsuku in the station's "Yorudara" time slot (General TV, Monday to Thursday, 10:45 a.m.). In addition to Koshiba, Masaru Kasamatsu, Yukiya Kitamura, Kana Kurashina, and Shuhei Nakano will also appear as in the previous two series, with special guest Osamu Mukai also appearing.
The drama is a novel situational comedy set in a small local police station that focuses not on the crime itself but on the troubles that arise around it. It is produced by the staff of NHK's popular comedy program "LIFE!". Ko Shibasaki plays Mano Ichika, a detective at Shingetsu Police Station who hates to lose and wants to accomplish everything on her own. Series 1 will air in 2022, and Series 2 in 2024. Due to the overwhelming response, a third series has also been produced.
Regular cast members Kasamatsu will reprise his role as Udagawa Kazuto, a rationalist who values efficiency and casts a cold eye on Mano; Kitamura will play Tanizaki Makoto, Mano and Udagawa's superior and a detective who is intimidated by a sergeant ten years his senior; Kurashina will play Mukaida Mai, a self-proclaimed former forensic scientist; and Nakano will reprise his role as Tokudaiji Reo, a traffic police officer who has a crush on Mano.
Special guest Mukai will play Shiina Youji, the lead actor in the drama "Detective Nikaido," who is a big fan of the members of Shingetsu Police Station.
