On September 4th, TBS held a briefing on its April programming changes at its Akasaka, Tokyo location. Keita Mishima, Director of the Content Strategy Department, outlined the things that TBS values: "content that can be watched by a wide range of generations," "originality that can only be found on TBS," and "high quality that satisfies viewers."
The station places importance on the "LTV4-59" (individual viewer ratings for people aged 4 to 59), and is said to be progressing smoothly. The reorganization of Tuesdays and Wednesdays in particular has been successful, and Atsushi Terada, head of the planning and production office in the station's strategy department, said, "We want to make Mondays rock solid."
That Monday will also mark the end of the regular broadcasts of the variety shows "Tami-sama no Ookuge" (Mondays at 9 PM) and "Crazy Journey" (Mondays at 10 PM). The shows to replace them will be "TV x Mrs.", a show fronted by the popular band Mrs. Green Apple, and "Professional Ranking," a collaboration between Shinobu Sakagami and Kento Nakajima, which will begin regular broadcasts at 10 PM on Mondays.
Additionally, the morning information variety show "Petit Brunch" (Kanto local, Monday to Thursday 9:55am) will end. "Takizawa Karen & Wada Asuka's Feeling Kitchen" (Monday to Friday 9:55am), with Takizawa Karen and Wada Asuka taking turns hosting each week, will begin airing on March 30th, and "Ueda Shinya's Sunday Q" (11:35am), hosted by Ueda Shinya on Sundays, will begin.
The dramas that will start include the Sunday Theatre production "GIFT" starring Shinichi Tsutsumi(Sundays at 9pm), the Tuesday drama "It's Already Sushi!?" starring Nagasaku Hiromi (Tuesdays at 10pm), and the Friday drama "Tasukusari Brothers" starring Masaki Okada and Sometani Shota (Fridays at 10pm).
The anime series will start on Sunday at 4:30 pm with the second season of "Wisteria of the Wand and Sword," on Sunday at 5:00 pm with "The Mission: Yozakura Family Season 2," on Sunday at 11:30 pm with "The Classroom of a Black Cat and a Witch," and on Thursday at 11:56 pm with "The Ramparts of Ice."
The rescheduling rate was 8.24% for all-day, 9.05% for golden time, and 17.14% for prime time.
