On March 6th, Fuji TV announced that it will begin broadcasting a new Sunday morning news program, "SUNDAY BREAK." (Sundays from 7:00 AM to 8:55 AM, with the first episode starting at 7:30 AM) from the 29th. The program will be hosted by actor Shosuke Tanihara, who was the main Caster for the station's weekday morning news program, "Mezamashi 8" (2021-2025), and the currently airing "Sun! Shine."
It was also announced that "Sun! Shine" will end on the 27th. Tanihara said, "I've been moved from weekday mornings to Sunday mornings and will be the MC for 'SUNDAY BREAK.' I want to make it a program where people can relax and get energized for the start of the week on Sundays, when the time flows differently from weekdays. If you watch 'SUNDAY BREAK.' and watch current events, sports, entertainment, and more, you'll be fully prepared for Monday. I want to make it that kind of program."
Shunsuke Ito of the comedy duo "Oswald" will appear as a special Caster. This will be Caster's first time hosting an information program. Regarding the offer, he commented, "Fuji TV is desperate. Please watch it as if you were watching a 7-year-old talking monkey."
The Caster will be the station's announcer, Yui Suzuki, who commented, "I met Shosuke Tanihara and Shunsuke Ito the other day, and I have a feeling that this will be a bright and fun morning show, so I'm really looking forward to it."
In addition, with the start of this program, "Our Time" (Sundays 7:00 AM - 7:30 AM) and "Sunday News THE PRIME" (Sundays 7:30 AM - 8:55 AM) will end on March 22nd.
