The synopsis and stills from episode 9 of the Fuji TV drama series " Soda Master " (Wednesdays at 10pm), starring Takashi Sorimachi, Nao Omori, and Kenjiro Tsuda, which will be broadcast on March 11th, have been released.
Videotape No. 12 was found in the attic of the former Film Research Club room. It was covered in mold, and even if they had a professional remove it, it was unclear whether it would be viewable again. In the same bag was a note written by "Matilda" Miyashita Misa (Kiryu Aso) that read, "Don't trust Clark." Yoshii Yuta (Sorimachi), Fujimaki Hajime (Omori), and Kikuhara Kisuke (Tsuda) tried to think of what it meant, but couldn't think of anything.
Yuta rushes home after receiving a call from his wife, Emi (Maho Nonami), and finds secretly taken photos of their daughter, Aya ( Maika Miura), in the mail, with Emi's coat slashed down the back with a knife. Yuta remembers that Matilda's clothes had also been slashed in the past, so he asks his brother, Kento (Yuki Matsumura), to provide security.
At the cafe where Nishino Hakuba (Fukumoto Riko) works, Hajime and Kisuke tell Officer Tsurumi (Hamao Noritaka) about Yuta's family situation and point out its connection to the incident 37 years ago. However, Tsurumi doesn't take them seriously. On their way home from the cafe, the two recall a public information session for the Tanbe redevelopment project. They were excited to imagine a futuristic city when they heard that the project was "developing a town with a 30-year vision," but the completed project turned out to be an ordinary town.
One day, the repaired tape of No. 12 arrives from the repair shop. Everyone watches the footage intently. It reveals the crux of the case...
The original story and screenplay was written by Ryota Furusawa. The film is a "youth-recovering human comedy" that depicts the reunion and rebirth of two middle-aged men who were passionate about making kung fu movies together in their junior high school days in 1988, but now feel stuck in life and realize that "this isn't how it was supposed to be."
