A special radio program, "Super Sentai Song Festival - Looking Back at 50 Years Through Music" (NHK-FM), which celebrates the music of Toei's special effects series, "Super Sentai Series," which has been broadcast for half a century, will be broadcast from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm on February 28th. After the exciting recording, Dai Nagai, Shoko Nakagawa, and Hideaki Takatori gave their comments.
Nagai said, "Over the 50-year history, there have been songs with a variety of styles, and I think one of the joys of this series is that they vary greatly depending on the era. I hope that people will once again enjoy their favorite Super Sentai songs."
Nakagawa reflected on the recording, saying, "It made me realize once again that Super Sentai songs, like classical music, never get worn out over the years. Even if the history of the series takes a break, as long as you continue to love the songs and the works, your memories of the heroes and your childhood memories with your family will continue to shine."
Takatori said, "After listening to the program, I would like everyone to listen to the theme songs, ending songs, and insert songs of their favorite Sentai teams, and I would like everyone to listen to them. There is a song called "Densetsu" in "Boukenger" sung by the "Three Spiritual Brothers," Akira Kushida, Mojo, and Takayuki Miyauchi, and as the lyrics say, I would like to believe that this feeling will be passed down from parent to child, and to tomorrow."
The program will look back at the many songs that have colored the Super Sentai series over the years. The program will feature Nagai, who appeared in "Mirai Sentai Timeranger," Nakagawa, who appeared in "Chikyu Sentai Fiveman" and "Tokusou Sentai Dekaranger," and Super Sentai song artist Takatori. The MC will be freelance announcer Sakura Miyajima, who has hosted numerous press conferences for special effects productions.
