The first series of NHK's popular comedy drama "The Incidents Happen Around It," starring actress Fuka Koshiba, will be rebroadcast for four consecutive nights starting from February 23rd in the station's "Yorudara" time slot (General TV, Monday to Thursday, 10:45am).
The drama is a new type of situational comedy set in a small local police station, focusing not on the crime itself but on the troubles that arise around it. It is produced by the staff of NHK's popular comedy program "LIFE!". Ko Shibasaki plays the lead character, detective Mano Ichika, who hates to lose and wants to accomplish everything on her own. Series 1 will air in 2022, and Series 2 in 2024. Series 3 will start on March 9th.
In addition to Koshiba, the drama also stars Masaru Kasamatsu, Yukiya Kitamura, Kana Kurashina, and Shuhei Nakano. Kasamatsu plays Kazuto Udagawa, an efficiency-oriented rationalist who casts a cold eye on Mano, Kitamura plays Makoto Tanizaki, Mano and Udagawa's superior and a police inspector who is 10 years older than him, Kurashina plays Mai Mukaida, a self-proclaimed former ace of the forensic science lab, and Nakano plays Reo Tokudaiji, a traffic police officer who has a crush on Mano.
Series 2 will also be rebroadcast over four consecutive nights starting March 2nd.
