The climax visual for the "Assassination of Serizawa" arc of the TV anime "Blue Miburo," based on the Shinsengumi-themed manga by Takeshi Yasuda, known for the soccer manga "DAYS," has been released. The "fleeting assassination tale" depicted in "Assassination of Serizawa" arc is finally entering its final phase. The visual shows Serizawa Kamo calmly standing in the way with a fearless smile on his face, and the members of Miburo with their respective expressions of resolve as they decide to assassinate their comrade, accompanied by the shocking copy, "Miburo is ending."
"Ao no Miburo" has been serialized in "Weekly Shonen Magazine" (Kodansha) since 2021. Set in Kyoto at the end of the Edo period, the story depicts the lives of the Shinsengumi. The story follows Chirinunio, a boy who is honest, kind, and family-oriented, but who also has a burning desire for justice deep in his heart, as he meets Hijikata Toshizo and Okita Souji of the Mibu-Ran, a group of ronin who are hated by others.
The first season of the TV anime aired on Yomiuri TV and Nippon TV from October 2024 to March 2025. The "Serizawa Assassination Arc" is currently airing on the same network every Saturday at 5:30 pm.
