Former charismatic host and talent Jin Josaki will appear on the variety show "Where Did That Money Go? - Celebrities Betting on Turning Their Lives Around" (Fuji TV), which will air from 9:00 p.m. on February 13th.
Josaki was at the height of the unprecedented host boom in the 2000s. He earned 300 million yen a year, and is said to have earned a total of 1 billion yen over six years, for a monthly salary of 80 million yen. He received his bills in cash, kept 100 million yen under his bed, and on his birthday he would have a lei made up of 3 million yen bills tied around his neck... his days were truly legendary.
At the height of his popularity, he retired from hosting and became a TV personality, but his income fell to less than one-tenth of what it was when he was a host. His "host talk," which was his selling point, gradually became boring, and he was eventually faced with the shocking reality that his monthly income was only 80 yen. Now 48 years old, he is working hard at a job that can earn him 200 million yen a day, and the details of his work are revealed.
The show will be hosted by Tsuyoshi Kusanagi and Chiaki Horan, and will feature Junichi Ishida, Osman Sankon, Katsuya Takasu and other celebrities who are trying to turn their lives around.
