The 17th episode of the TV anime "Medalist," based on a popular figure skating manga, titled "Gekokujo," will be broadcast on TV Asahi's late-night anime slot "NUMAnimation" from February 14th.
Inori lands her first triple loop and continues to perform jumps smoothly. The judges and the coaches from each club are amazed at Inori's basic skating skills, but Akiura Michiji's secret strategy is hidden in what appears to be a safe and secure composition.
"Medalist" is a manga by Tsurumai Kada that has been serialized in the manga magazine "Monthly Afternoon" (Kodansha) since 2020. The story follows Akiura Michiji, a young man who has failed as a skater, who meets Yuzuki Inori, a girl who dreams of becoming a figure skater, and aims to become a glorious medalist as both a coach and athlete. The first season of the TV anime aired on NUMAnimation from January to March 2025. The second season is currently airing in the same time slot. A theatrical anime film depicting the story following the second season will be released in 2027.
