The sixth episode of the new TV anime adaptation of Motoei Shinzawa's comedy manga "High School! Kimengumi," which was serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (Shueisha) in the 1980s, titled "Moji Moji Go-kun/Please Tell Me About Marriage," will air on Fuji TV's anime slot "Noitamina" at 11:30 pm on February 13th. The TV anime adaptation of the work aired from 1985 to 1987, and this will be the first time it has been adapted into an anime in about 39 years.
In "Fiddling Go-kun," Chie falls down the stairs and breaks her leg. As the girls ask for advice on what to bring to Chie, who has been absent from school, Go seems to have something on his mind. The Kimengumi, noticing Go's behavior, come up with a plan. In "Tell Me About Marriage," Ikari-sensei and Ishisuna-sensei are getting married. The teachers are not entirely opposed to the students' celebratory mood, but are worried about the Kimengumi, who they invited to the wedding reception.
The new anime will be directed by Kazuaki Seki, known for films such as "Kakkaku Shikajika" and "Beethoven Fabrication," and produced by Animation Studio Seven. The Kimengumi members, Rei Ido, will be played by Tomokazu Seki, Go Reikoshi, Yoshitsugu Matsuoka, Jin Oma, and Kikunosuke Toya, will play Dai Monohoshi.
The original series began as "3-nen Kimengumi" in Weekly Shonen Jump in 1980, and was renamed "High School! Kimengumi" in 1982 as the characters progressed to higher education. It's a slapstick school comedy about the Kimengumi, a famous group of five middle school students: Ichidou Rei, Reikoshi Go, Idese Kiyoshi, Oma Jin, Monohoshi Dai, Kawakawa Yui, and Uru Chie.
