NHK morning drama "Bakeke" starring Akari Takaishi (General TV, Monday to Saturday 8:00 am and others). On February 7th, we will look back on the 18th week, "Matsue, Wonderful." (February 2nd to 6th).
"Bakeke" is the 113th morning drama. Based on the story of Lafcadio Hearn and his wife Setsu, the story follows a couple, with a heroine who loves ghost stories, as they go about their everyday lives together with their foreign husband.
In the 18th week, Toki (Takaishi), Tsukasa (Okabe Takashi), and Fumi (Ikewaki Chizuru) finally pay off their debts. Everyone expresses their gratitude to Heaven (Tommy Bastow), and Zentaro (Maehara Mizuki) joins in, holding a debt-paying party. Kajitani (Iwasaki Udai), who happens to be visiting for an interview, shows up, and the Matsuno family's debt repayment becomes an article in Heaven Sensei's Diary. From that day on, the behavior of the people of Matsue changes completely. A shadow falls over Toki and the others' lives...
As a result of the article, Toki is mistaken for Heaven's rashamen. Seeing Toki's injury, Heaven becomes enraged and runs out of the house, but Toki bravely stops him. Tsukasasuke and Fumi are exhausted by the change in how people see them. Nishikori (Yoshizawa Ryo) rushes to the scene, but Toki's anxiety remains. Meanwhile, Sawa (Marui Wan) and Yanami (Sato Honami) arrive.
One morning, the dumping of garbage at the Matsuno residence suddenly stops. Instead, the home of Governor Eto (Shiro Sano) becomes a disaster. The trouble caused by the governor shifts public attention from Toki to the governor, and Toki and Heaven enjoy a period of peace for the first time in a long while.
Meanwhile, winter is about to descend once again on Matsue. One night, Toki is surprised by his first sleep paralysis in a long time, and suggests to a worried Heaven that they "listen to a ghost story together," and Fumi tells him one. A few days later, a large package addressed to Heaven is delivered to the Matsuno household. Inside is a bound book of Heaven's travel diary from her time in Japan... and so the story unfolds.
