Music unit ZARD's 35th anniversary live concert "What a beautiful memory ~forever moment~" will be held at Tokyo International Forum Hall A (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) on February 10th, the day of their debut. It has been announced that the concert will be broadcast and streamed exclusively on WOWOW Live and WOWOW On Demand from 9pm on March 20th. The lineup for a three-month consecutive special feature on ZARD, including this concert, has also been announced.
ZARD has produced numerous hit songs that combine catchy melodies with moving, down-to-earth lyrics, including the million-selling singles "Makenaide" and "Yureru Omoi." Even now, 19 years after the death of vocalist Izumi Sakai, the memory of her beautiful singing voice remains unforgettable.
This commemorative live concert marks the climax of the 35th anniversary project, which has been running from 2025 to 2026. It will be held at Osaka Festival Hall (Kita-ku, Osaka) on February 6th and at Tokyo International Forum on the 10th. These two venues are memorable places that Sakai visited during ZARD's first and last nationwide tour, "What a beautiful moment Tour," in 2004. Sakai's singing voice and video from his heyday will be synchronized with live performances by a full band, making this a special live concert brought back to the "present."
The lineup of special features from April onwards is as follows: "ZARD LIVE & MUSIC VIDEO HISTORY (scheduled to be broadcast and streamed in April): Comprised of numerous music videos (MVs) and footage selected from past memorial live performances; "ZARD 35th Anniversary Special Program ~What a Beautiful Song~" (scheduled to be broadcast and streamed in May): A special program that unravels ZARD's famous songs through the words of artists associated with the band and famous people who love ZARD.
