Actress Kyoko Yoshine won the 50th Elan d'or Award in 2026 and attended the awards ceremony held in Tokyo on February 4th.
Yoshine expressed her joy, saying, "I have always admired the Elan d'or Awards and hoped that one day I would have the opportunity to receive one. Last year marked 12 years since my debut, and I think it was a particularly challenging year among them. I have completed a full cycle of the zodiac, and I feel that I have once again decided to work hard without forgetting my original intentions, so I am very happy to have received the award at this time, and it feels like an affirmation of the life I have lived so far."
The guest of honour was actor Emi Wakui, who co-starred with Yoshine in the TV drama "Nami uraraka ni, Meoto biyori" (Fuji TV), who sent her encouragement, saying, "She has such a slender body, but she's always overflowing with energy from within and is so cute. I've seen how Yoshine moves forward with sincerity in each and every step. I hope you will continue to be powerful, open all kinds of doors and continue to shine with your charm."
The Elan d'or Awards are an awards system that began in 1956. This year, the Newcomer Award was removed and the winners were Amane Okayama, Kaho, Jiro Sato, Akari Takaishi, Hokuto Matsumura and Yoshine Yoshine of the popular group SixTONES. The Producer's Award went to Chieko Murata of the film "National Treasure" and Ayaka Sugita and Izumi Maruyama of the TBS drama series "So, You Make It," while the Producer's Encouragement Award went to Shota Okada of the film "Bomb" and Rena Oda of the Nippon TV drama series "Hot Spot."
