Actor Eiichiro Funakoshi and Hideki Takahashi appeared on Tetsuko Kuroyanagi's long-running talk show "Tetsuko's Room" (TV Asahi) on February 3rd. Funakoshi, 65, spoke about the ages of his children from his second marriage and the tense memories he had with Takahashi.
"I got married and had a child. He's one and a half years old."
When he first met Takahashi, he was so nervous that his legs were shaking. During the filming of the drama, he shot a scene where he entered Takahashi's house, but "I remember that my legs got tangled and he didn't give me the OK on the first try. That's how nervous I was."
He had also co-starred with Takahashi in a period drama series, and said, "I was nervous again." He had little experience in period dramas, so he received detailed instruction.
Takahashi says "I'm tired" when he's physically exhausted or when his work is hard. He was taught that not saying "I'm tired" means that he's possessed, and that he's accepting negative energy. "I want to imitate a lot of things, but there are so many things I just can't imitate, so I thought I could imitate that much, and so for decades now I've decided to say "I'm tired."
His goal is to continue acting for as long as possible.
