Minami Hamabe, who plays Nene in the 2026 NHK Taiga drama "Toyotomi Brothers!" (General TV, Sunday 8pm and others), attended the Setsubun Festival held at Naritasan Fudoson in Osaka on February 3rd, along with Sosuke Ikematsu, who plays Hideyoshi. Hamabe commented, "The Setsubun Festival at Naritasan Fudoson in Osaka was very lively and energizing. It will be a while before Osaka Castle appears in the drama, but being able to come here with Ikematsu, who plays Hideyoshi, has become a memorable experience."
Hamabe added, "Everyone who came today said things like, 'Toyotomi Brothers! I watch it every week,' and 'Nene-sama, do your best!' It's rare for people to call me by my character's name, so it made me happy." She added, "The show has just started airing, so I threw the beans with the hope that people will continue to watch it and that it will bring a lot of good fortune to the taiga drama."
Ikematsu commented, "I was able to receive a lot of good fortune by being able to take part in such a large Setsubun festival. It was a wonderful memory for me to be able to throw beans together with Hamabe-san while wearing kimonos in Osaka, a place associated with Hideyoshi and Nene. I was happy to be able to ward off evil spirits with so many people. I will take home the energy I received today and do my best to deliver good dramas this year, so please look forward to the Taiga drama 'Toyotomi Brothers!'"
